The Vice President for the Oncology service line provides senior level leadership, vision and direction, working in close partnership with the Cancer Center director/service line chief, COO MCVH, and MCVP president and respective department chairs to drive strategic direction and growth strategies necessary to ensure the Oncology Service Line’s successful performance in the marketplace.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/a Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/a Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in an academic or community healthcare setting. Progressively responsible leadership experience in Oncology in an academic or community healthcare setting is preferred. Supporting Skills and Experience: Experience in leading strategic clinical program and business planning and quality assurance. Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in working and collaborating closely with more senior management and physician leadership, and community-based agencies and partners. Demonstrated supervisory, management and collaboration skills, with physicians, nurses, and the broader multidisciplinary team. Proven success in facilitating teams through cultural and organizational change. Excellent analytic skills; experience in solving complex problems, demonstrating creative and innovative thinking, and incorporating external and internal best practices in providing solutions, and using data to drive quality improvement. Demonstrated understanding of service line trends, preferably specific to Oncology program development, as it relates to reimbursem*nt, growth/niche markets, outreach opportunities, and physician and staff relations. Ability to integrate service line development plans with clinical objectives and goals and to work across a wide range of care delivery environments and providers. Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement in service, quality, growth and financial performance. Experience communicating performance metrics to senior administration and clinical leadership in the areas of growth access and operational activity volumes. Experience managing operating budgets, preferably in oncology. Experience PREFERRED Twelve (12) years of progressively more responsible healthcare leadership work experience Education/training REQUIRED: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Healthcare Administration (MHA) or related degree to include MS, MA, or RN.
